Dr. Dan Mones joined SMVH in June of 2008. He attended Haverford College outside of Philadelphia and earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology. Working for a veterinarian in Ardmore led him to earn his VMD from the University of Pennsylvania, and has been living in Philadelphia for 5 years. Originally from the Eastern Shore of Maryland, he has not had trouble acclimating to city life.

Dr. Mones´ interests include radiology, reptile and small mammal medicine and surgery, avian medicine, and of course a love of dogs is what led him into this profession early on. Outside of the office he does as much outdoors as he can, including SCUBA diving, mountain biking and rock climbing. He currently lives in the Upper West Side with his wife and their dog, Oscar.
