Lexi
Hi Dr. Haddock,
It's me, Lexi. You remember me! I'm the lucky little girl you brought back to health. It was just close to five months ago that I was diagnosed with a possible meningioma tumor of the spinal cord. Wow, was that a shock! My mother Cecelia cried for two straight months, every night and every day, because the emergency hospital told her it was inoperable and I only had a couple of months to live. I didn't know what to do for her. Well, I knew that I had to get better because she wouldn't be able to take my loss, especially since she lost my older sister, Dotsie, on July 8th. It was 8 days after Dotsie turned 18 years old. That was a real shock even for me. I still sit in Dotsie's bed expecting her to come home, especially during the day when Mom and Dad are at work.
Well, it's now close to five months and I have stopped taking the prednisone that you had me on and I'm doing really well. I don't know what really happened with me and I hear my mother telling daddy that she doesn't care what was wrong with me. What's important is that I am still with them and running and eating and jumping (even though she yells to me not to) and I love to go walking around the neighborhood. Mommy is still worried about me but I try to reassure her that I'm not going anywhere now. I figure if I kiss her enough, beg for enough treats and run around a lot, she will forget about what happened with me. You know, I'm not just another pretty face. I'm very smart too!
So, Dr. Haddock, I hear that Dotsie came to you for 18 years. You knew her from when she was just 12 weeks old. I plan on coming to visit you for about as long. As you know, Dachshunds tend to have long lives. My mother cooks for me every week and she feels that makes a big difference in my health. I want to say I love you and that literally I can't live without you. Also, give my love to your staff. They are all so very caring every time I come to visit. They love to kiss me as much as I love to kiss you all. God Bless you all the way He has Blessed me!
Forever your friend,
Lexi Mogilansky
