Jesse Ney

Jesse is a 5 year old Rat terrier. He was always very smart and obedient. So when I decided to see if he could become a therapy dog it was a simple process. I got in touch with the good dog foundation and went through a program in which they introduce your dog to things he will encounter in the hospital. For instance crutches, walkers and wheelchairs. They also make sure you have a calm animal who will listen and obey. Jesse started visiting at Beth Israel over 2 years ago. The patients really enjoy petting and playing with a dog in the hospital. Jesse is a wonderful companion. He loves the ocean and retrieves balls in it all summer. He loves to run next to me while I rollerblade and we have hit every downtown dog run. He has also fathered 6 puppies. Over Christmas he will be going on his annual trip to Florida to visit grandma. All and all its a dog s life.
